Who we work with
Ecommerce sellers.
Selling imported goods online means carrying the obligations of a distributor at the volume of a small business. Marketplaces began enforcing compliance evidence that used to go unchecked, and a seller outside the market they sell into now needs somebody inside it.
What you need that others do not.
- Somebody responsible inside the market
- European consumer goods need an economic operator established in the Union, and marketplaces ask for the details. A seller outside the EU cannot fill the role themselves.1
- Product safety documentation
- A risk analysis and evidence the product is safe, held and produced on request. It does not have to be elaborate and it does have to exist.1
- Packaging registration
- Whoever first places packaging on a national market finances its recycling, per country. It is a running cost that catches sellers scaling across markets.2
- Small quantities and real minimums
- Indonesian workshops have lower minimums than large factories, which is why craft and homeware suit this channel. Custom packaging is what drives the minimum up.
- Photography that matches
- Returns on marketplaces are driven by the gap between listing and delivery. Natural material varies, and a listing photograph of the best piece is a returns policy waiting to be used.
Where it goes wrong for you specifically.
A listing removed rather than a border stopped
The enforcement point has moved. Marketplaces delist for missing compliance details, and it happens without warning and without a container being involved.
Air freight eating the margin
Small frequent replenishment by air destroys the economics that made the product viable. Sea freight and holding stock is the trade-off, and it is a working capital decision.
Reordering a bestseller that no longer matches
Hand-made and natural material varies between runs. A product with hundreds of reviews that arrives visibly different is worse than no stock at all.
What we source for you.
Worth reading first.
What a European buyer has to build first
Six obligations that sit on the EU importer, and two dates inside the next eighteen months that change the tariff and the paperwork.
What sets a minimum order
Setup, material lots, the container and attention. Three of them move and one does not, and knowing which is binding beats any tactic.
What a sample actually proves
The narrow question a sample answers, and why the sealed duplicate you never open is worth more than the one you evaluate.
A sourcing agent or a B2B platform
What a platform does well, what it structurally cannot do, and the order size at which paying somebody on the ground starts to make sense.
FCL, LCL or your own consolidation
Three ways to move a part load, and the third one is the one most buyers never consider. What each costs in handling and risk.
Questions buyers ask.
Can I sell into Europe from outside it?
Only with an economic operator established in the Union responsible for the product. Marketplaces ask for those details and delist listings without them. Service providers offer the role, and an Indonesian producer cannot fill it.
How small can a first order be?
Indonesian workshops accept quantities large factories refuse, which is the structural reason this channel works with Indonesian craft. What pushes the minimum up is custom packaging, so use the producer's own on a first run.
Should I ship by air to start?
For samples yes, for stock rarely. Air freight on low-value goods removes the margin that made the product worth selling. If the numbers only work by sea, the business only works by sea, and that is worth knowing before launching.
What causes returns on Indonesian craft?
The gap between the listing photograph and what arrived. Natural material and hand work vary, and photographing the best piece sets an expectation the batch will not meet. Photograph a typical one.
