Agricultural products must be compared by crop-specific criteria, not by origin story alone. Coffee may be assessed by cup profile, screen and defects; cocoa by fermentation, bean count and moisture; spices by grade and contamination limits. A useful sourcing request therefore starts with a written specification and destination market.

This is the range we source in, not a stock list. Grades, minimum quantities and lead times depend on the season and the producer, and are confirmed against your specification before anything is quoted.

The final inspection plan belongs in the quotation or purchase specification. These are common controls for agriculture & food.

- Defect count and screen size against the agreed grade
- Foreign matter and infestation check before bagging

- Fumigation arranged where the destination requires it

- European Union
Coffee and cocoa are within the EU Deforestation Regulation. The EU operator or trader has the due-diligence obligation; the supply chain must provide traceability and plot geolocation. Current application dates are 30 December 2026 for large and medium operators and 30 June 2027 for most micro and small operators.

A phytosanitary certificate is required only for products and destinations that call for it. The exact treatment, testing and certificate wording must be confirmed against the importing country's current conditions before shipment.
