Israel applies mandatory standards to a wide range of imported goods, administered through a national standards institution. For many product categories the conformity step is the gate, and it has to be arranged before the goods move rather than after.

Indonesian goods currently enter the European Union under the Generalised Scheme of Preferences, with origin self-declared by a registered exporter. Indonesia leaves that scheme on 1 January 2027 and the agreement meant to replace it is not in force yet. What is the first thing to check?
Which mandatory standard applies to your product, because for many categories that is the gate. Establish it before ordering rather than when the container arrives.
Is kosher certification required?
It is a commercial requirement for many food channels rather than a customs one. Whether you need it depends on who you are selling to, and it comes from a recognised certifying body.
Which port?
